Zynx Health develops and implements evidence-based processes and procedures in healthcare organizations to improve patient outcomes across key industry metrics (i.e., length of stay, hospital-acquired conditions, etc.) as well as financial performance. Zynx Health sought a partner to help them develop a new product that would leverage Zynx’s best-in-class clinical evidence as a benchmark to analyze the clinical operations of new and existing customers. Credera delivered a design sprint workshop and completed an envision phase with Zynx Health that ultimately led to the increased adoption of applications and improved engagement and patient care.
The Challenge

Zynx Health develops and implements evidence-based processes and procedures in healthcare organizations and clinicians to improve patient outcomes across key industry metrics (i.e., length of stay, hospital-acquired conditions, etc.) as well as financial performance.
The overall goal of the new product is to produce actionable guidance that improves the safety and quality of patient care, increases revenue while reducing risk, and identifies cost savings opportunities for Zynx’s clients.
The Solution
Delivering a design sprint workshop and platform implementation.
Credera delivered a design sprint workshop, collaborating with the Zynx Health team to brainstorm a solution and build a prototype of the product concept. After the design sprint, Credera completed the envision phase where we fleshed out the design sprint mock-ups and recommended a technology stack to support the product.
Credera implemented the underlying data platform using Amazon EMR for advanced analytical processing, Amazon Redshift for highly scalable storage, and AWS Step Functions to orchestrate end to end data pipelines. End-user analytics were delivered using embedded Tableau Dashboards in an Amazon S3 hosted Single Page Application.
Zynx Health later unveiled the product at the Health Information and Management Systems Society conference in February 2019.
Since then, Credera refined the natural language processing pipeline used to match electronic medical record health system datasets to the Zynx evidence-based interventions and onboarded an innovation partner onto the platform.
