Credera, a full-service management and technology consulting firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Jen Koide to Credera’s leadership team and Management Consulting practice as a partner in the Chicago office. At Credera, Jen will focus on leading the Chicago geo as well as helping Credera to scale and grow overall.
“We are really excited to welcome Jen Koide to Credera as a member of our Partner team in the Chicago office,” says Justin Bell, Credera CEO. “Jen brings a passion and reputation as a great people leader and culture builder, as well as the experience and expertise needed to help clients successfully navigate complex, transformational engagements.”
Prior to joining Credera, Jen worked for the past 3.5 years at Publicis Sapient, helping them though the many changes that followed Sapient’s acquisition. Her latest role was the Global Change Lead for the Global Delivery organization. She worked with business leaders, practice leaders, and internal teams to implement a myriad of changes to their operating model and delivery capabilities. Before Publicis Sapient, she had a wide range of roles at various firms including several prior consulting leadership roles, leading the professional services organization within a product company and working on the client-side as an IT department head. As a highly experienced consultant, seasoned team leader, design thinker, and expert project manager, she builds teams and creates processes for scalability and sustainability.
Jen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Indiana University Bloomington and a Cuisine Diplome from Le Cordon Blue London. Jen is pictured here with her husband, Jason, at an elephant camp from a trip to Thailand this past summer!
We sat down with Jen to learn more about her journey to Credera:
What led to your decision to join Credera?
Several things led to my decision… first, the people and the culture. It was clear from many conversations with a broad cross-section of people that Credera is a very special organization with an incredibly strong culture and very talented people. Second, I enjoy working with organizations that are at an inflection point in their growth journey. I’m really excited to help Credera scale globally.
How would you describe your approach to leadership?
I believe in servant leadership coupled with transformation leadership. I make sure the team has a shared vision for the future and then I roll my sleeves up and help with the heaving lifting needed for the team to succeed. I also believe that leadership happens at all levels – it’s not limited to people with a certain title or tenure. I look to create ways for everyone on the team to demonstrate leadership.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?
I can’t say there is just one, but there are several that have served me well.
If it ain’t getting done, then own it
Ask for forgiveness, not permission
Practice empathy
Strive for excellence, not perfection
It’s ok to fail – just make sure you learn from it
Get comfortable being uncomfortable… we live in a world of exponential change. Our business is driving difficult change for clients. Status quo is not an option.
What are you most excited about now that you’re a part of the Credera team?
I’m excited to be a part of the next several chapters in the Credera story – where we build a global firm and stay true to Credera’s strong heritage and culture.
